Description
Adds the benefits of an ankle wrap for additional swelling control to speed recovery, and comprehensive instructions for treatment and rehabilitation - integral parts of ankle sprain management. A sprained ankle heals better and faster when the patient uses the injured ankle, while protecting it at the same time. Aircast pioneered the functional management of ankle sprains by developing the Air-Stirrup. The Air-Stirrup Ankle Brace is the brace that made functional management practical. It is perhaps the most widely used brace in orthopedics. More than 25 published studies document its efficacy and versatility with sprains, fractures, and chronic instability. Air-Stirrup Ankle Braces are made in five models. Because of the conformability of the aircells, there is a wide overlap among the models recommended for indication and patient size. Ankle Brace Model Sizes Standard (02A): preferred for the acute injury with most adults. It is 10.5 inches in length, provides the most support and offers the largest area of coverage for the recently injured ankle
