Grape seed extract is the preferred source of the flavonoid molecules known as PCOs or OPCs. These compounds are among the most potent antioxidants known. Antioxidants are nutritional compounds which prevent oxidative damage to the cells of the human body. Recent studies indicate the antioxidant activity of PCOs may be as much as 50 times stronger than vitamin E and 20 times stronger than vitamin C.
